PML-N Hurling Allegations on JIT to Make it Controversial: Fawad
Islamabad (July 8, 2017): Setting aside ministers rebuffing, PTI’s spokesperson Fawad Chaudhary said that the government should have filed a review petition right after the Supreme Court announced the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in April this year.
In reaction, speaking with the media in Islamabad, he said that instead of filing such a petition, the ministers and prime minister jubilantly distributed seat meats.
“After completion of investigations are complete they are (trying to) to create a controversy … Now, it seems tables have turned on the Sharif family,” he maintained.
First, the government planted a story against an intelligence agency through Jang group, then the ministers attacked intelligence agency, he said.
According to the spokesperson, the government had changed its strategy after they learnt that apparently the Qatari prince had refused to record his testimony before the JIT in the Panama case.
“Now they are viewing everything as a conspiracy,” he said, adding that the PML-N itself had been part and parcel of all conspiracies since its formation, including dismissal of governments.
“We do not think there is any threat to the system … The only threat that we can perceive is the PM,” Chaudary said.
